Very complete with Victor Cassien's fine and elegant plates: the 300 subjects represent, in 72 plates, one specimen of each of the described species. 1 large folding board. Qqs small rubbed; 2 disjointed plates. A fine, freckles-free copy of this rare and sought-after work. The pharmacist Hippolyte Bouteille (1804-1881) became curator of the Natural History Museum of Grenoble. He created the Alpine Acclimatization Society and the Acclimatization Garden of Grenoble.
