Boxing meeting in Deauville - 1920 © Collections L'Équipe 5 September 1920. In a few years, Deauville became the capital of leisure activities. Sea baths, horse racing, casino... No wonder boxing came to set up its rings on the beach. The weather is gloomy, but the confrontation between the French heavyweight champion Marcel Nilles (right) and the British colossus Dick Smith attracts amateurs and a few elegant ladies. Everyone can enjoy the Frenchman's footwork, which is rewarded with a draw after twenty three-minute rounds. Inkjet printing on baryta paper. Single posterior print run. Edition 1/1. 60 x 80 cm
