This case, developed after twenty years of research, is the first totally atypical watch with an innovative movement made entirely of nylon and plastic of great reliability, except for the barrel, the balance, the spring and the balance-spring, which remain metallic on all 52 parts making up the movement. This Research 2001 model is also known as the "Astrolon".
