with ribboned cartridge decoration in pediment and base, heart motifs and ovules in mouldings
Dimensions at sight :
141 x 105 x 15 cm (55.51 x 41.34 x 5.91 in.)
Comment : Our frame is very close to a frame sculpted by François-Joseph Duret (1729 - 1816), sculptor of the house of Monsieur le Comte de Provence.
One of his works frames a portrait after François-Hubert Drouais, currently kept in the Fine Arts Museum of Angers (Revue de l'art, 1987).
