Chinese Antiques and Art-Liu Hai, late Ming Dynasty-Bronze figure, two parts (figure and toad, probably welded together later), total height h. 21 cm, figure only H. 18 cm. Bronze, patina showing black mottled with green, brown, red. The subordinate is standing on the toad, which he has caught with a string with five coins, on the toad's belly two characters in archaic style. Private collection, Ruhr area.
