Small wooden transport trunk covered with wallpaper, late 18th century, the outside and the inside decorated with the same arabesque wallpaper printed on the wooden plank; the outside on a green brushed background, the inside on a blue brushed background, (acc.) H. 44 cm W. 73 cm D. 49 cm Fitted with a lock and metal handles, this small decorated trunk could have been used for the delivery of a precious object such as a clock, glassware or crockery.
