Herbert Zangs, 1924 Krefeld - 2003 ibid. WITHOUT TITLE, 1970's years ridge fold from plucked, blackened. About 119 x 120 cm. Signed "Zangs" in a burlap field below left. Cut out in white frame. Colour in upper part partly slightly torn. Note: The artist studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1945 - 1950. From 1952 onwards he created his whitenings, found objects or object collages covered with a light veil of white paint. He also created important groups of works such as folds and weaves.
