Herbert Zangs, 1924 Krefeld - 2003 ibid. WITHOUT TITLE, 1970's years ridge fold made of plucking, whitened. Approx. 109 x 90 cm. Signed "Zangs" in a burlap field at lower right. Freestanding in white frame. Note: The artist studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1945-1950. From 1952 onwards he created his whitenings, found objects or object collages covered with a light veil of white paint. He also created important groups of works such as folds and weaves.
