Nandi drinking vessel Height: 25.4 cm. Weight: 513 g. The foot on the stand ring has two indistinct markings. 19th century. Silver, chased and chased; horn carved and mounted. Round foot with tongue frieze with ascending trains. Shaft formed by four segments with portrait medallions underlaid with oak leaves. Nodus with engraved vegetable ornaments. Mounted horn with lily frieze and carved out figure of Nandi, the faithful companion of Shiva, accompanied by two sculptured partly mounted crossing cobra figures as a reference to Shiva. min. dam.
