Pair of Louis XV armchairs à la pure
Backrest height: 99 cm.

Louis Cresson (1706 - July 1761), train,
Master craftsman from January 1738.
Paris, c. 1740.
Frame carved in walnut with a very fine carving. Over small feet the delicately curved legs with vegetable and floral carving. The moving, yet symmetrically designed frame with central sculptural rocaille carving. Open worked armrests made of fluted cartilage with upholstery on one side. The seat is slightly trapezoidal, the backrest frame is curved and finished with a sculptural rocaille carving. High-quality later upholstery with garnet decor.
