DOMENICO DI GIOVANNI DI BARTOLOMEO ROSSELLI (PISTOIA 1439- FOSSOMBRONE 1497) Virgin and Child Bas-relief in polychrome and gilded stucco H.: 91.7 x W 58.5 cm This is a composition by Domenico Rosselli (PISTOIA 1439- FOSSOMBRONE 1497). As is often the case in his work, he takes up a composition by Verrochio, here the one of the tabernacle in via della Spada. Three different autograph versions of Rosselli's work have passed through the hands of the collector Stefano Bardini, four others are listed, two of which are in public collections.
