SOUTH GERMANY, second half of the XVIIth - first half of the XVIIIth century Probably Saint George Sculpture in strong relief in polychrome and gilded wood, hollow back. Height 202, Width 100, Depth 35 cm. (accidents and restoration). Provenance: private collection, Poitou. Probably Saint George carved in high relief by a South German school in the second half of the 17th, first half of the 18th century. Exhibition: Timeless Baroque: from sacred art to David Belugou, exhibition held from 26 January to 22 April 2019, at the Abbey of the Prémontrés of Pont-à-Mousson.
