Iron sake container in the shape of a lotus flower pod, its lid made of copper and silver, and foldable copper handle. Embossed with Konnichi'an kanji: name of the tea house (sukiya) created by tea master Sen Sotan (1578-1658), grandson of Sen no Riky? and founder of the Urasenke tea school in Kyoto.
In its original box dated from the H?reki period (1751-1764).
Lotus pod shaped iron sake vessel (manabe) with copper and silver lid and copper foldable handle, decorated in relief with the characters Konnichi'an, the name of the tea room (sukiya) build by tea-master Sen Sotan (1578-1658), grandson of Sen no Riky? and founder of the Urasenke-school of tea in Kyoto, in original box dated H?reki Period (1751-1764).
