Exceptional and very important Silk ghum (Iran) Shah's time circa 1965/70 Silk velvet on silk foundations. Beige field with six reserves of floral vases surrounded by symmetrical floral crowns, with branches and volutes of floral strands Crenellated in bracelets and twists Decorated with a central polychrome floral medallion in the shape of an elongated diamond. Four spandrels reminiscent of the central medallion with floral crowns. Eight borders, the main one being midnight blue with interlacing palmettes and multicoloured stylised floral buds. Density. Approx. 10000 knots per sq. dm2 Good condition 600 x 400 cm
