JAPAN, Arita kilns - Early EDO Period (1603 - 1868), 17th century Porcelain bowl decorated in blue under a central medallion decorated with the monogram V.O.C. (Vereenigde Oostindische Compagnie - Dutch East India Company) surrounded by two phoenixes among pomegranates and camellias, the fall decorated with six large cartouches decorated with alternating bamboos and peonies.
