No Live bidding. 如閣下欲競拍此件拍品,請與本拍賣行 聯繫,辦理相關競投手續。 CHINA - QIANLONG Era (1736 - 1795) Important "lantern" vase, known as "deng long zun", made of polychrome and gold enamelled porcelain of the rose family known as "fencai"; on the belly, the eight Taoist immortals crossing the eastern sea "ba xian guo hai" on their way to the birthday of the Queen Mother of the West, Xiwangmu. The shoulder and the lower part form a frame for the main scene and are decorated with a frieze of lingzhi (longevity mushroom) each surmounted by a medallion formed by a stylized longevity character (shou) enamelled in gold on a turquoise blue background. The characters are surrounded by polychrome flowers and foliage on a ruby background with an incised "sgraffito" decoration of fine spirals and foliage. The neck is decorated with a frieze of blue enamelled swastikas forming greek (leiwen) and surmounted by a frieze of small lingzhi. The heel decorated with a frieze of flowers in their foliage. The inside and underside are enamelled turquoise blue. On the back of the base, the six-character iron red Qianlong mark in zhuanshu. There is also a yellow label glued underneath, bearing the inscription Chongli jin shiwu hao: 'Chongli tribute, number 15'. Chongli (1840?-1907), a minister of the Qing Dynasty, initially head of the Qingyi Palace (New Summer Palace of today's Yiheyuan), incidentally distinguished by Emperor Xianfeng around 1860. During a career spanning more than forty years, he was promoted to the rank of minister of rites, then of armies and finally of finance.
