(expert restoration by leaf casting, sl. frayed edge). Nice copy. 4th state of this map of the Low Countries by P. Verbiest. West at top. Cartridge rather poorly engraved. Title in a rectangular panel; on top Hermes and 2 putti, below many tools. Legend near left border in cartouche held by winged putti. Near bottom border 2 men handling measuring-instruments (poorly engr.). Compass-rose with 16 rhumblines and 8 names of the wind directions. Decorative upper and side borders with panoramic views of 17 cities: Limburg, Ghent, Luxemburg, Antwerpen, Brussels, Amsterdam, Nijmegen, Utrecht, Middelburg, Namur, Mechelen, Arras, Mons, Zutphen, Leeuwarden, Groeningen & Deventer.
