Auguste Rodin (1840-1917) (after) Purgatory Engraving (heliogravure enhanced in point) and enhanced with watercolour On Vellum of 42.5 x 31 cm Engraving published in 1897 by Goupil Workshops Limited edition of 125 copies, supplied with photocopy of the proof of the edition from the publisher. Very good condition, slight traces of foxing in the margins and small flaws on the edge of the margins Information: This engraving is part of “Album Fenaille” or “Album Goupil”, a work devoted to the drawings of Auguste Rodin, published in 1897. It contains a majority of drawings related to Dante's Inferno, generally grouped together under the title “Black Drawings”.
