This engraving is part of “Album Fenaille” or “Album Goupil”, a work devoted to the drawings of Auguste Rodin, published in 1897. It contains a majority of drawings related to Dante's Inferno, generally grouped together under the title “Black Drawings”.
A copy of this precious album is in the archives of the Rodin Museum.
