Late 19th century, woven in the famous workshop of the Master weaver DJAFFER.
The star of this carpet is the magnificent polychrome plant rosette and its pendants, which stands in the middle of a belly field, abraded brick. Four large marine spandrels with vegetalized arabesques frame the ensemble. Two chestnut counter-edges with garlands of flowers, highlighted with ivory with an "S" ornament, flank the main marine border with corollas that open out on floral branches.
Technical characteristics :
- Silky lambskin wool velvet on a cotton foundation.
- Some natural oxidations
