Fine KACHAN woven in the famous workshop of the Master weaver MORTACHEM (Persia) End of the 19th century Ivory field with garlands and palm branches geometric flowers decorated with an original central medallion brick red with sky blue diamond points abraded. Four azure blue spandrels with a decoration reminiscent of the field central. Four borders, the main one being midnight blue at hooks and flowered rings in twists. (Beautiful and fine kork wool) High quality silky lambswool velvet known as kork on a cotton foundation. Remarkable fineness - Density about 9000 knots per dm2 - Good general condition - Beautiful polychromy and remarkable freshness of colours Note the change of natural wool called Abrash.
