Chinese porcelain plate. Qianlong, 18th century. Decorated with the enamels of the Rose Family, in the centre of a coat of arms surmounted by a crowned helmet and supported by two greyhounds, trellis braid on the waterfall, frieze of arms in cartouches, draperies and palmettes interspersed on the wing, gold filet on the edge, shock in the centre, gilding, wear. D: 22,5 cm Provenance: The arms of alliance are for Jean-Charles-François de La Bistrate (of Antwerp) and Anne-Martine de Proli (of Milan and Brabant). This service was ordered for the wedding in 1736 of Jean-Charles-François de La Bistrate, Admiral of the Scheldt, Grand Chaplain of Antwerp.
