Great 8-string "n'gombi" harp of the "Punu" of Gabon. The padouk wood resonance box is extended by a stylized female figure. Two pieces of animal skin are stretched over this sound box. Played by men, it is the sacred instrument of the initiation ritual "Bwiti".
