Imposing statuette representing a musician with a high headdress typical of the Mangbetu people holding a 5-stringed arched harp in front of him. The harpist's body is decorated with geometric "checkerboard" scarification marks. The balance of the forms of the ensemble is particularly harmonious and recalls the Mangbetu court art.
