96-Marcel GIMOND (1894-1961) Young Woman's Torso Brown grogged stoneware, very nuanced light beige marble base Total height 54.5 cm Executed by the Manufacture nationale de Sèvres Similar model made in 1927 by Georges Serré (1889-1956) in Sèvres and presented at the Salon d'Automne in Paris the same year. Reproduced in "Mobilier et Décoration" , 1927, p°163 and in "Sculpteurs nouveaux, Marcel Gimond" , Paul Fierens, Nrf, 1930, p.57.
