A young lady of distinctly noble bearing has stepped into the Shivamandir to pay her respects. She has duteously risen, dressed up, and arrived at the temple of her Lord at the crack of dawn. Within the bonds of her silence and sadhana, her roopa takes on an ethereal glow. She has lit the gold ghee lamp before Him. With her fair hands she lifts up the tiny basket of freshly plucked flowers that she has brought for Him, her bangles tinikling against each as she does so. She is wearing a solid white lehenga with thick gold-bordered choli and dupatta. The low neckline of the gold-sleeved choli reveals her soft, youthful decolletage, so she has layered studded gold necklaces over it. Long, dangling jhumke and a statement maangtika complete her shringar. The most beauteous aspects of her tastefully made up face - green eye-shadow, fawn-coloured lipstick - are those large eyes and the full cheeks. She is in a spacious poojana-kaksha, which is probably the family altar of her new sasuraala. Where the artist has captured her is her favourite corner because therein resides her Lord Shiva in the larger-than-life murti in the background. A number of minor deities grace His aureole, and is seated in lalitasana nearby (to the right of the background). The rock-cut sculptures are as gorgeous as the lady who has lit the lamp before them.
