Official Martian meteorite, NWA 4880, with a fresh, shiny fusion crust and orientation marks, signs of its entry into our atmosphere. It is following a very large impact on Mars that a Martian rock was ejected to fall on our planet after a very log stay of several million years in Space. This Martian rock that fell in the Sahara Desert was identified and analyzed, and then officially declared as a Martian meteorite under the name North West Africa 4880.
