Unusual in this size clocks movement with balance wheel instead of pendulum. Good technical quality Parisian two train movement stamped on the backplate: VINCENTI & Cie / MEDAILLE D'ARGENT / 1855, what allows to precisely date the clock to be made between 1855 and 1865 as it was allowed to use the trophy from World's Exposition for 10 years only. Below serial number 3971.
Very good quality well casted and chiseled clock richly decorated case made of gilt bronze in Louis XV (rococo) style, supported on four scroll legs, The dial of white porcelain with blue Roman numerals for hours and black Arabic for minutes (each 5).
Conditions report: case in very good condition, minor wear and discolorations to the gold layer. Dial in good condition, few hairline cracks visible. Movement strikes, but does not work, looks complete, probably needs to be cleaned and adjusted. Winding key missing.
