Fine Tabriz woven in the workshops of the master weaver DJAFFER (PERSEUS), end of the 19th century.
Technical characteristics: quality lambswool velvet on a cotton foundation. Slight natural oxidation. Remarkable fineness, approx. 9500 knots per dm2.
Your dominant pastel for this piece, where on a Parma mandorla background is placed an ivory medallion, oblong and polylobate, with a turquoise cruciform heart. The whole being covered with flowering stems. The four ivory "draped" spandrels have the same vegetal decoration. Two brick counterborders with floral compositions.
frame the main ivory with flowery and leafy scrolls. Great poetry.
