Gregory the Great (Gregorius, as Pope Gregory I.) (around 540-604 in Rome) was Pope from 590 to 604. He is considered one of the most important popes and is the youngest of the four great Latin Church Fathers of late antiquity. He was canonized in 1295. - Title with hs. monastic property note of 1640, endpaper with label, book block chipped, pages occasionally loosened, pages browned, partly stained. Good overall.
