A LARGE IMPORTANT SILVERGILT CUP AND COVER OF THE TAYLOR'S GUILD, maker's mark of Hans Scholler (worked since 1642), Leipzig, dated 1646 Assay master Melchior Lauch, date letter "t", town mark. Cup worked as a thimble on a balustre shaped shaft, circular stand on three heraldic lion and ball feet. A female figure on the lid. Dedicatoins and name inscriptions dating 1646 and later. 29 silvergilt shield shaped pendants with other name inscriptions dated from 1661 to 1768. total weight 3105 g. Minor traces of age.
