A Chinese Famille Rose large porcelain dish. Yongzheng period (1723-1735) and Qianlong period (1736-1795).
Depicting a scene from "Xīxiāng Jì", translated as "The Romance of the Western Chamber" by the playwright Wang Shifu. For a dish with this pattern, see Sotheby's London, Chinese Export Porcelain and Works of Art, 3 November 1922, lot 127.
