"Arrest of the Council of State of the King, of November 4, 1727, which orders that in the future the EXCHANGERS established in the Cities & Places where there is no Hotel de Monnoye, will be held to receive at the Marc all the old gold & silver coins & materials which will be brought to them, & to pay the whole value of them, without being able to retain any rights or wages".
