PARIS. BORDEAUX (33). 1704. BOUCHERIE - "Edict of the KING creating the Offices of Inspectors at the BOUCHERIES in the City and Suburbs of PARIS and in all the closed Cities and Towns of the Kingdom and meetings of the said Offices at the Bodies and Communities of the said Cities and Towns". - Given to VERSAILLES in February 1704 long text - "...". Let us forbid all persons other than butchers by profession to sell Meat at retail, and to the said butchers to kill their meat elsewhere than in the Tüeries and places intended for this purpose...". - Vignette & Lettrine - followed by the ordinance of the BURDONNAYE Intendant in the Generality of BORDEAUX.
