(THE AIX PLAGUE IN PROVENCE) 1629. "Extract from the registers of Parliament. The Chamber... made inhibitions & defenses with all private individuals, heads of Houses of this City of AIX, to leave & abandon the city for some cause & pretext that it is, without permission of the aforesaid Chamber, with penalty of 3000 livres of fine from now on declared applicable to the poor for which will be proceeded, as of at once their departure, with the sale & delivery of their goods, movable... The clerks of the Common House of the aforesaid AIX are forbidden to lease any Bulettes or certificates to the said heads of household, on pain of corporal punishment...". Published in the Parliament of Provence in AIX (13) on August 4, 1629.
