Greek 7th cent. B.C.. Terracotta. H. 6 cm. W. 5.1 cm. D. 2.8 cm Head of a woman displaying the formal characteristics typical of the Daedalic period. Front mould-made. Back smoothed. Probably Eastern Greek. Condition: Fragment of a statuette. Face heavily abraded. A small section of hair lost on the left side. Traces of dark grey to black paint, especially on the hair. Formerly Coll. Prof. Hans Dahn (1919-2019), Lausanne; acquired 1953.
