Etruscan 2nd-3rd quarter of 7th cent. B.C.. Bucchero. H. 10.6 cm Tall, closed shape, the lip curved inwards slightly. Low, conical foot with smooth, circular base. Two horizontal handles. Rich incised decoration on the exterior of the wall: A double chevron band above the foot. Several parallel, encircling lines approximately in the middle of the wall. Above them, five open fans. Closed, horizontal fans in the handle-zone. Two encircling lines immediately below the rim. Condition: Minor chipping at the lip. Formerly priv. coll. Jacques Briand, Brittany, France, 1965.
