pair of oil paintings on wood, 35x55 cm, one signed and dated at the bottom right "Willaerts 1645", "Both works are treated with lively descriptive taste and in both is clear the importance assigned by Willaerts to the landscape, although the artist prefers to choose themes of a distinctly aquatic setting - following in this the specialization of his father Adam - (...)....) Beyond the greater or lesser importance of the element water, we find in our pendant the usual compositional layout of the artist's paintings, with large spatial openings and small figures moving in the foreground sinuous and elegant.
