Monochrome cobalt blue cobalt majolica. Brand: coat of arms of Savona. Height: 26 cm. Small chippings The tulip bowl is made up of three globular bodies superimposed on top of each other, the two upper ones carrying short everted flower-holders. Covered in azure enamel, it is decorated with a female figure of mythological inspiration in large landscapes with vegetal tufts and stylized buildings. This cut flower-holder model, of Dutch origin, interested several Savona manufactures in the 17th century, and is often called a carnation maker.
