The town of Beauvais Mine graphite on paper, annotated "Chapu". H. 45.5 cm - W. 30.5 cm HVS Bad condition, tears. In 1861 Chapu created an allegory of the town of Beauvais for the Gare du Nord railway station. This allegory was part of a set of twelve statues depicting twelve towns served by the Chemins de Fer du Nord.
