Spanish manuscript containing the letters of nobility of Bernardino Vaca de Buiza (Buyca), with illumination. Valladolid, 13 June 1602. In-folio (32.2 x 22.7 cm). Soft vellum, framed "a la Du Seuil" on the plates with black fleurons, one of which is more central. In Spanish. Traces of links, small wear and tear and stains of time without gravity. It is composed of: - 12 pp. on vellum, including a full-page ENLUMINATION (gouache and gold) and 11 pages of text, with brown ink frames and an illuminated header band. - 27 ff. or 56 pp. on ruled laid paper have been stapled consecutively. Text in brown ink. Beautiful illumination representing the arms of the Vaca de Buiza family: in 1 eagle carrying a lamb dead in its talons, resting at the top of a mountain, at the foot of which two bulls are grazing; in 2, half-cut part with bull's head and checkerboard (chequered). The arms are richly surrounded by acanthus leaves, helmet head with ostrich feathers on a parma background and beautifully framed. Expert: Emmanuel Lorient +(0)1 43 54 51 04
