Walnut veneer writing case with brass ornaments and porcelain plates with cherubs decoration. The lock is named after Bramah in London. When open, it turns into a sloping desk, inside the Macassar ebony writing case is covered with blue-violet felt, its flap bears the inscription "TRUSSEL Brighton". The necessary part of the desk is complete with the inscription "presented for Miss Hodgson by Clergy Feachers friends, & scholars, of St Margarets schools" - England, 19th century.
