Wrought iron Tenebrae hearse for fifteen candles. Gothic. 15th century. The Tenebrae hearse is the name for a triangular candelabra for fifteen candles which are spaced out over the triangle. It is used in the Tenebrae religious service over Easter, in which the candles are snuffed out progressively throughout the service. 200 x 61 x 83 cm.
