On wove paper (papier vélin). - Plate 4 from the portfolio "Dedicated to Mrs Agathe and all my pupils". - Agathe Mark-Kornfeld (1894-1973) had studied with Itten at the Stuttgart academy and became his early patron. Through her he met Alma Mahler in Vienna in 1917, who was married to Walter Gropius at the time. Gropius appointed Itten to the newly founded Weimar Bauhaus in 1919.
A little unfresh.
