With an introductory text by Richard Braungart. Episode two. Munich, Franz Hanfstaengl 1919. With 96 partly coloured plates. Original parchment ribbon with rich gilding in original slipcase. In addition to the edition of 1000 numbered copies published, handwritten marked as "Beleg" and exclusively bound in vellum. According to a note of a previous owner the binding was made by Hermann Nitz, a student of Paul Adam and Paul Kersten, who worked for Spamer/Leipzig among others. The cover design, signed "Jost", was also used for the preferred copies in calfskin. - With plates after ex-libris by Franz von Bayros, Willi Geiger, Fidus, Max Klinger, Emil Orlik, Emil Preetorius, Rudolf Schott, Franz Stassen, Heinrich Vogeler and others. - Impeccably beautiful copy. 26.8 : 21.0 cm.
