Long literary correspondence from the great Portuguese novelist to Renaud de Jouvenel. He evokes in several letters his work Eternidade (1933), that of R. de Jouvenel Commune Mesure (1938). In his letter of May 9, 1974, he describes with emotion the regained freedom "... there is now in Portugal an immense joy among the people and intellectuals.

"Most of these letters are of literary interest.
