60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - Clocher MAGRIE (Winegrower Jean-Baptiste Fau, Autan terroir) Tasting
notes: Eye: pale yellow robe, brilliant, limpid. Nose: quite intense with a nice toasted and light citrus note on lemon and tangerine. Palate: we have a nice attack, fresh wine with a hint of citrus on the lemon side rather confit with some sweet spices reminiscent of cinnamon notes. The finish is quite long with a nice enveloping sweetness and spices ending on a salty note.
Winegrower : If there was a Magrie vine that identified itself with the Toques et Clochers days, the 1284 Chardonnay vines of "Fraisse" are the perfect example since they were planted in 1992, the year of Toques et Clochers in Magrie. Under the benevolent gaze of its dry-stone huts punctuating the wine-growing landscape, this predominantly limestone and sandstone soil is conducive to the age-old cultivation of this
emblematic grape variety. It was in the 16th century that the name Fau first appeared in the Limouxin basin in the small commune of La Bezole, not far from Magrie. Jean-Baptiste's commitment to this family of winegrowers has been in Magrie for four generations. It is thanks to his ancestors who have passionately and benevolently watched over the building of this heritage, that Jean-Baptiste's commitment is inevitably part of the continuation of their work.
