60 bottles AOC Limoux TOQUES & CLOCHERS - CHATEAU DE FLANDRY (Winegrower SCEA Château de Flandry, Autan terroir) Tasting notes: Eye: pale yellow colour, brilliant, limpid. Nose: beautiful intensity on notes of white flesh fruits (peach) and citrus fruits (lemon). Mouth: a beautiful attack, a fresh wine, where we find this lemon note, as well as a fruity note with sweetness. Good balance. Quite a long finish on fruit and spices, especially white pepper. Winegrower : Set in a green setting between superb vines and a park with century-old trees, this manor house was transformed into a manor house in the 19th century. This château has known many owners, including Vincent Flandry and Oscar François Rougé. In 1985, Baron Pierre de Ginestous bought it from the Sieur d'Arques winegrowers, of which he is the president and one of the founding fathers. At the end of 2013, a 25-year long lease was signed between the Cave Coopérative and the Association pour la Sauvegarde du Château de Flandry in order to restore the estate to its former glory. Daniel Paillès has been winegrower and manager of Château de Flandry since April 2004. The PDO represents the majority of his production and chardonnay 90% of his grape varieties. Since his arrival, Daniel Pailles has never ceased to bring his chardonnays to the highest level of quality.
