Franck's Sonata for violin and piano. 57 pages in-fol. (35 x 25 cm), in sheets, fragile paper, frayed edges with gaps in the margins.
Printed proof with annotations and corrections by CORTOT's hand, in ink or blue pencil, marked on the cover: "last proof. Good to print after correct [ions]".
Alfred CORTOT admired this sonata, which he often played and recorded with Jacques
Thibaud. He made an arrangement for solo piano, and this arrangement for two pianos, published by Breitkopf & Härtel in Leipzig.
It was given to Georges Franck, son of the composer.
