De la Sagesse Amsterdam, Louis and Daniel Elzevier, 1662 Nice morocco binding with a long handwritten note from a reader in 1784 In-12. Incomplete of 2 ff. in the first book. Binding from the 18th century. Red morocco, gilt decoration, triple fillet with rosette at the corners, long spine decorated and gilt, gilt edges, paper endpapers with gilt stars. Provenance: long autograph manuscript note (2 pp.) on Charron signed "[Broch] d'Hotelans 1784" -- acquired from Cornuau on March 4, 1918.
