In-folio of (3) ff, 8 pp., 49 p.; 12 pp., 17 p.; 4 pp., 5 p.; 2 pp., 1 p., (1) f., each plate accompanied by sheets of descriptive text, binding of the period in red half-chagrin with corners (Fazakerkey Binder, Liverpool). First edition. 72 plates engraved in intaglio by Gremilliet after the drawings of Pauline de Courcelles (Madame Knip), printed in colours, and finished by hand. One of the most beautiful bird books published in France at the beginning of the 19th century.
